ExecutedBy

implements java.lang.annotation.Annotation

 androidx.camera.core.impl.annotation.ExecutedBy

Gradle dependencies

compile group: 'androidx.camera', name: 'camera-core', version: '1.5.0-alpha01'

  • groupId: androidx.camera
  • artifactId: camera-core
  • version: 1.5.0-alpha01

Artifact androidx.camera:camera-core:1.5.0-alpha01 it located at Google repository (https://maven.google.com/)

Overview

Denotes that the annotated method should only be executed by the referenced Executor or Handler.

Example:

 final Executor executor = new ThreadPoolExecutor();

 public void doSomething() {
     executor.execute(this::doSomethingOnExecutor);
 }

  @ExecutedBy("executor")
 void doSomethingOnExecutor() {
     // Do something while being executed by the executor
 }

This can be used to denote that it is not safe to call this method when not executed by a specific java.util.concurrent.Executor, if, for instance, the Executor provides certain guarantees of which thread the code will run on or guarantees of sequential (non-concurrent) execution.
